The student who arrives at Grade 7 is not starting over. They are going deeper.
For six years — some from age two — they have been building something. The Soul Check is a daily habit. The two roads framework is the lens through which they see every decision. They know who God is from Exodus 34. They know what baptism declares. They have seventeen memory verses and a parent blessing written permanently in their graduation book. They have been sent. The Academy takes everything that was built underground and builds the full academic structure of biblical and theological education on top of it. The roots were always meant to hold this weight.
The Soul Check your child learned at age three does not retire at Grade 7. It goes deeper. In the Academy years the Soul Check becomes the opening of every study session — the pause before the Old Testament, the breath before Apologetics, the moment of stillness before Marriage, Family, and Future. The Journey Shapes the Study
Every Academy course is connected to what the student already carries. This is not accidental. It is the design. When a Grade 7 student opens the Old Testament Survey and reads Genesis 1:1 they are not meeting God for the first time. They spent nine weeks in Series 19 studying who God is — compassionate, gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness. Genesis 1:1 is not new information. The Two Roads in the Sermon on the Mount —
they are not encountering a new idea. They have been walking that road since age two. They are finally reading the words Jesus spoke that gave their entire journey its name. When a Grade 9 student studies Apologetics they are not learning to defend an idea they recently encountered. They are learning to defend a faith they have lived, practiced, and walked for years. That is a completely different kind of defense. It comes from the inside out. When a Grade 10 student opens Marriage, Family, and Future they are not reading theory. They are preparing to build the thing the curriculum was always building toward — a faithful home where the next generation learns to say bless you at age two and starts the whole road again.
The Academy is not what happens after the curriculum. The Academy is the curriculum arriving at its full height. The bamboo tree that grew no visible growth for five years and then shot up ninety feet in six weeks — this is the six weeks. Everything planted underground is now visible.
The Learn Teach River
Grades 7 through 10 are the Learn Years. The student receives the full biblical and theological curriculum one course at a time — building from the Old Testament through Marriage, Family, and Future over four years.Grades 11 and 12 are the Teach Years. The student who learned now teaches — to younger siblings, to children in the church, to families in the community. A student who teaches what they have learned does not just understand it. They own it. The Learn Teach rhythm that began when an older child first showed a younger one how to bless Tucker is now a formal discipleship practice that multiplies into the next generation.
This is how discipleship has always worked. Each one teach one. The river flows forward.
The Four Commitments — Every Semester
Every Academy semester is built on four
commitments that connect the academic study to real life:
- The Soul Check — opens every study session. The student does not open a textbook before they open their heart.
- Family Mentorship — one person in the family being intentionally discipled through conversation and example every semester.
- Church Volunteer Role — active service in a church ministry every semester. Nursery, children’s ministry, youth group, worship team. The student is not just learning about the body of Christ — they are functioning in it.
- Community Application — one practical outward application of the current course content every semester. Apologetics is not just studied — it is practiced in real conversations. Christian Ethics is not just learned — it is lived in real decisions.
Old Testament Survey
Grade 7, Semester 1 | $49 — 18 Weeks — Four Days Per Week
Eighteen weeks from Genesis 1:1 to Malachi. The Messianic thread traced from Genesis 3:15 — the first promise of the coming King — through every era of Israel’s history to the final words of Malachi. Every book, every writer, every era. The student discovers that the God they have known personally since Series 19 has been telling the same story since the very beginning.
Soul Check Connection: The God of Exodus 34 studied in Series 19 is the God of Genesis 1. The student is not meeting Him for the first time — they are learning His full story.
New Testament Survey
Grade 7, Semester 2 | $49 — 18 Weeks — Four Days Per Week
Eighteen weeks through every New Testament book. Opens with Matthew 7:13–14 — the Two Roads — studied now in their original context in the Sermon on the Mount. Every Gospel, every epistle, Revelation. The fulfillment of every promise made in the Old Testament. The complete arc from creation to redemption to new creation.
Soul Check Connection: The student who has been walking the two roads since age two now reads the words Jesus spoke that named their entire journey. Matthew 7:13–14 is not a new concept — it is the source.
Life of Christ
Grade 8, Semester 1 | $49 — 18 Weeks — Four Days Per Week
After two years surveying the whole Bible the student slows down and looks closely at Jesus Himself. From the Incarnation through the Ascension across all four Gospels. Every miracle, every parable, every confrontation, every moment of compassion studied in depth. Not a survey. A sustained look at one person who changes everything.
Soul Check Connection: The student who has practiced the presence of God since age three now studies how God made His presence visible in human flesh. The Incarnation is personal — they have been practicing for it.
Acts and Church History
Grade 8, Semester 2 | $49 — 18 Weeks — Four Days Per Week
From Pentecost through the early church and into the sweep of Christian history. Acts 1:8 — you will be my witnesses to the ends of the earth — drives the entire course. The student follows that commission from Jerusalem through Paul’s missionary journeys, the early councils, the Reformation, and into today. The story did not end at the Ascension. It accelerated.
Soul Check Connection: The church volunteer commitment begins here in earnest. The student studying Acts is simultaneously living it — serving in the local body the way the early church served one another.
Christian Worldview
Grade 9, Semester 1 | $49 — 18 Weeks — Four Days Per Week
Every person has a worldview. Most people have never examined theirs. This course teaches the student to see — to identify the worldview behind any idea they encounter and build a coherent biblical framework for understanding science, history, culture, and current events. Built on Romans 12:2. Once they have it they cannot unsee it.
Soul Check Connection: The two roads framework planted at age two is now a full worldview. The student who learned to choose the narrow road in small moments now learns to see the narrow road running through every subject they will ever study.
Apologetics
Grade 9, Semester 2 | $49 — 18 Weeks — Four Days Per Week
Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. Built on 1 Peter 3:15. The Worldview course taught them to see. This course teaches them to stand. The existence of God, the reliability of Scripture, the resurrection, the problem of evil, the claim that truth is relative. Every week a real objection and a reasoned biblical response — delivered with grace not anger.
Soul Check Connection: The student who has practiced connecting with God daily since age three is not defending an abstract idea. They are defending a living relationship. That changes everything about how they engage an honest objection.
Christian Ethics

Be holy because I am holy. Christian ethics is not a list of rules — it is the application of God’s character to every decision a person makes. The Ten Commandments, honesty and integrity, sexuality and purity, justice and mercy, technology and money, and how to make hard decisions when the right answer is not obvious. Every week the Narrow Road and Wide Road placed side by side. The student chooses deliberately.
Soul Check Connection: The student who learned to notice others at age two — to turn toward a sneeze instead of away from it — now applies that same outward instinct to the hardest ethical questions of adult life. Empathy was the first root. Ethics is the fruit.
Marriage, Family, and Future
Grade 10, Semester 2 | $49 — 18 Weeks — Four Days Per Week
The last Learn Year course. The one that closes the circle. What Scripture says about the most important relationships and decisions of adult life. How to choose a spouse wisely. What covenant means and what it costs. How to build a faithful home. How to raise a child who walks the narrow road. The course ends where the curriculum began — the graduate who learned to say bless you at age two is now preparing to teach their own child to say it. The circle completes. The road continues.
Soul Check Connection: The student opens this final Learn Year course with the same Soul Check they learned before they could read. Eight years of Academy. Twelve years of the road. It is still the first thing they reach for. That is the proof that the roots held.

The capstone. The student who learned to defend the faith, navigate ethics, and understand the world now teaches others how to do the same. The Academy Graduation closes with the teaching log presented, the graduation testimony read aloud, and the parent blessing spoken permanently over a fully equipped young adult who is ready to begin the road again with their own children someday.
